StartFragmentSteve Slinger, general manager of Effingham Golf Club in Surrey is preparing for the challenge of running the length of Hadrian's Wall in Northumberland this month for charity.
The 69 mile test will be covered in 24 hours and all funds raised will go to Kent Surrey Sussex Air Ambulance which is this year’s chosen Captains Charity at Effingham Golf Club.
"I have received tremendous support from the membership here at Effingham to which I am very grateful and will no doubt be reminding myself of as I near the finish!"
"It is a truly inspiring part of the emergency service which during my time as a golf club GM I have seen in action on two occasions. Both times resulted in life saving results!"
