Hersham unveil plans for new adventure course

HERSHAM Golf Club has revealed plans to extend its facilities by building a new 18-hole adventure golf course. The Surrey venue is planning to construct the new jungle-themed outdoor course in a bid to encourage golf participation among young people and families and plans were put before planning chiefs last month.

The proposed new course has been designed by City Golf Europe, a leading developer of this concept, who has also constructed courses at the Celtic Manor Resort in Wales and Horton Park in Epsom. In addition to the new fun layout, which aims to provide a series of short putting challenges, including themed obstacles and interactive elements linked together by landscaped pathways and a central water feature, the plans also include the erection of a new reception building for both the adventure course and existing 18-hole layout and a new, improved car park.
